The 1g is only 2litre, to small for heavy beast like a soop, the 1J is nice engine but a little revvy for me, i like the torque from a 7MGTE and as someone once said theres no replacement for displacement!
to actually work on i think the 7M is quite a nice engine, its really not hard to work with...

and while i was at it i changed the manifold studs as the Toyota studs only have 12mm of thread in a 23mm deed hole thats threaded all the way!
