2tongues Did 85mph in the ford Vicky V8 yesterday, RPM was 2000.

All the way from a standstill, changing up at 2000rpm?

Confusedad: It was a tough call to make, but the Supercharged IS200 is being retired. Confusedad:

Just rolling along, looked down and there it was, the vicky is super comfy, you really don't notice the speed at all.

totally worn out and broken, shouting 'Holy ****, WHAT A RIDE!'"

the Crown is the same breed. Some have a million miles (really) and are still used as cabs.

The only country that uses ex-Police 'interceptors' as flippin' tacxicabs! 300,000 miles on the police fleet first, then another 300,000 bashed about as a taxicab, and still they keep rolling... :-o

They're starting to become unfashionable now though as they're stupidly expensive to run even stateside, but its taken the Americans 15 years to realise this. (single digit mpg as a taxi, vs 25-35 from a Ford Escape hybrid or similar - cheaper to buy the tinfoil car and scrap it after 300k) Still popular amongst the illegal immigrant taxi driver market though, as they're so cheap in initial outlay.

It's the V10 Viper engine and apparently the only manual in the country as it was converted. I think it's mainly used for advertising as it sits by the roundabout just outside the centre most of the time.
