It should do that Toxo - however in kick down it holds gears exactly the same as pwr mode, its a little bit of a wasted button.

I thought it limited the throttle in the lower gears? How does it work on the IS200 then because it's definitely a lot slower with that button and TRC on?

its really easy to do mate on the throttle peddle there is a spring, this spring allows the peddle to move before it pulls on the drive by wire system, looking up the footwell if you press the peddle down you will notice how much the peddle actually moves before it starts to tug on the wire to open up the engine the spring was designed too short and not tight enough, so basically all you need to to is put a spacer in between the spring and and the area of either the top or bottom of the spring that compreeses the spring and completely takes away the dead spot so when then when you press on the peddle the spring is already pretightened so moves the wire to how you are actually pressing the peddle, giving instant acceleration rather than putting your foot down waiting for the spring to compress and then pulls on the cable. i used a spacer from a radio controlled car suspension that they use to compress the springs on their shocks, but you can use cable ties as long as they are fairly chunky.
here is the my.is thread that i got the mod from pictures seem to have dissapeared if you need a picture i'll get one of my peddle. http://my.is/forums/f62/is300-throttle-c...er-350180/

all depends if i get my gearbox sorted mate im hoping too though, if you have a look up in your footwell you will notice the spring right up at the top of the peddle behind the dash, give the peddle a little push you will notice how far the peddle moves before the spring starts to compress before it even starts to think about giving the engine power. you may have experienced the dead spot when sitting in traffic you can tap your foot on the peddle and bounce it and the car wont move, this mod completely eliminates the bounce, so you just need to get something between the spring and the walls its stuck between by compressing the spring so its in a permanently compressed state its only about a 1/4" or 1/3 of an inch that it need to be compressed by, but it makes a huge huge difference, once it is done do be very carefull because you'll be used to the dead spot so as soon as you put your foot down the car will take off, i hated the dead spot and was so pleased when i found out we could do this, will try and get a picture up later for you's if your still not 100% on what to do Smile
