It's probably all normal complications of a complete rebuild, certainly reading Stav's thread and Ormi's their cars have given them some challenges but for me, my carefully scheduled three month timetable has turned into a year this month and I find it very .... Difficult

I definitely couldn't have coped with the horror story that Mike went through, that was terrible and I bet I only got to hear half of it ... I have decided to spend more time encouraging everyone else to do what I like to their cars and then steal them ... it has to be easier
[COLOR="DarkOrchid"]Time for an update, I finally got my 500 running in miles done quite a while ago in very short journeys as the weather has been horrid or I have been manically busy at work. I didn't have time to go get her fluids changed so she's done way over a 1000 miles now still in running in mode. We took her to Japfest and she got all the way there without issue .. until the car park man said turn left and she said NO! She decided to pee her power steering fluid all over the grass and only go in straight lines... you got to love this car ( I keep telling myself that lately)
Anyway, thanks to Racestyle and Fluff a split pipe was fixed enough to get us all the way back to Milton Keynes .. so close to home she spat it all out again at the roundabout before my house. A seventy point turn avoiding Dufus and neighbours cars in a small turning circle with no power steering was hard work I can tell you lol.
Sachi's mechanic has a bad leg and I knew he'd be very reluctant to fix the pipe laid on the ground outside my house and if he got down there he probably wouldn't get up again. Racestyle very kindly offered but he's a bit of a way from my house and I didn't want to impose on him again having crawled under the car in a field near Swindon lol There was no way I was driving her to JPS with no power steering as it's a bit of trek and for anyone who doesn't know MK, it's got millions and millions of roundabouts.
I called on the flexibleness of my favourite WonkyWizard, Toxo who very kindly turned up (in my other car) armed with a Jack in a Box (yes he pulled a Sam joke about it) and lots of weird tools and new power steering hose and he fixed her Good job he did a great job as I took her for a test drive in my fluffy purple slippers with pom-poms on the toes and that could have been awkward walking home again. It was a tricky job as this pipe is not easily accessible and made more challenging in Sachi as my undertrays are firmly attached to the bumpers and the skirts and bumpers are only an inch or so off the ground ... ground made more interesting to lay on as there are ants! Thank you John, you're a star
So the plan was then to take her to Leons to get the running in oils changed again finally, get my boost back, have him check the power steering pipes just to be assured no-one was doing anything that could invalidate any warranties should (god forbid) this all go wrong again and to get a new bracket for my exhaust as both supras have taken to expelling useful holdy up the exhaust brackets (will tell you about Suki in a bit)
I haven't been able to get the time off work so at weekends I have carried on driving her. Jim (Fluff) and I went for a little drive over the bank holiday and ended up clocking up several hundred wonderful miles - she drove like a dream, although she definitely wants to go faster and we encountered a couple of other supras on the journey. It was a lovely day and she got lots of attention everywhere we went. He's going to take her into Leon's for me next week to do all the bits I mentioned above and then I have my boost back again Woohoo

I was really enjoying this thread (Till the office phoned me to say that somethings come up and I need to bog off to Pontipridd to fix some knackered point of sales kit now. :mad.
Beautiful car there kiddo, I'm very jealous !
There's one thing that keeps popping into my mind when I see all the pictures though........ Does anyone else remember the Mk3 Capri that was doing the rounds in car mags around the late 90's? It was almost exactly the same colour. It looked stunning! For a while it had bl00dy great white "Dairy milk" stickers down the sides, But I seem to remember that the car wasn't connected to Cadburys in any way, It was just the owner having a strange sense of humour.
Anyway, Wales is waiting. Time to van up and get going.

Remember it? It was a contributory factor in my overall plan when I found the right car
