I will never be old enough for a brown interior !
After reading the rest of this, I have to ask.....
Purple, Have you ever sat down and worked out roughly what building Sachi has cost so far?
I think if you have, You would've had to be sat down...... And within grabbing distance of a very stiff drink!
She really is a beaut, I couldn't even imagine owning a car that I'd spent that much time and money on..... I'd be scared to take her down a road without first ensuring that everyone else on that stretch had been breath tested and had held their licence for more than 10 years (Come to think of it, No over 60 year olds either)!
When I was younger I was a Capri nut, I've had a couple and none stayed standard for long. I remember my mum brow beating me into taking her to the supermarket a couple of days after I'd resprayed my old 2.1 Laser in "Kawasaki Alpine white" (Stunning colour! It made Fords diamond white look a dirty light brown). Anyway, While I was waiting for mummy dearest to get back out of Asda a Mk3 Golf GIT pulls in next to me. When him and his friends get out I hear his door slam into my passenger door. I got out and looked at the 1" x 3" crater where fresh paint had been split and scrunched along! I went after him and when I said "Oi, Did you even look at what you just did to my car?" he had the plums to reply with "Don't get so stressed about it mate, It's only a crappy old car" before turning around to walk away from me....... Now, I'm not a violent person, But that was the only time in my life where I actually saw the red mist descending.
I still can't remember from that point to the bit where one of his friends was on the ground with blood all over his face and I got the sudden realisation that I was actually trying to swing the driver through a line of trolleys by his leg.
Anyway, Long story short, when the policeman arrived The two git's decided not to press charges for assault as long as I didn't press charges for the "Hit and run" damage to my car (He looked young and I don't think he could have got insurance on his car with penalty points and an own fault claim against his policy). All considering, I think I got off quite lightly there.
In the end I resprayed the entire passenger side of the car because when I just sprayed the door the "Touch up job" stood out a mile.
Because of this I don't think I could build a car as stunning as Sachi. I'd never know when some moron could come along and undo my hard work (And I don't think I could last a day in prison if some moron did........ My mouths far to pretty !!! :blink.
Anyway, Once again I find that I've started writing a post way too late in the day, So I better stop there and get some sleep.
Night night all.

****** shame about that PAS issue! You really do have to just tell yourself that you love the car even when it's kicking you in the teeth - I've just rebuilt my front callipers, replaced the brake lines at £73 PER line and now after rebuilding my Master Cylinder it turns out the bore is too knackered and it's £300 for a new one from Toyota. Awesome -.-
Moral of the story - chin up and just enjoy the few trouble free moments you have with that awesome car!
You don't want to know what she cost, more to the point I don't want to hear that number again lol.. And she is a long way off finished. Despite all that, I am not really a show car only person. I couldn't cope with Mike Lavery's situation where his car is so immaculately pristine (absolutely to die for gorgeous though it is) and special that it's not really driveable day to day. I am very much of the opinion my cars have to work for their keep and that's the reason I didn't go for total smooth out like Mikes, although I would have loved to. That said, if I am honest I am not quite ready to leave it in the work public carpark yet, it's full of hairdressers in cars with broken wing mirrors and scratched bumpers but the time will have to come when I get over that. I think I'd just like to get more than a thousand miles of nice driving out of her before she's totally ruined lol.
I have to agree with you about building a car like this though, I will never do it again.. when I am ready for my next one I will just buy Mikes lol
KPJ Your wise words, you'd best have them tattoo'd down your arm.. you'll be telling yourself them a lot over the next 60+ years !

You should NEVER sit down and work out how much you spent on your cars with a bottle of drink near you lol
Im sure if most of us sat down and worked out not only how much we spent on our current car but all our cars we would feel light headed!
Lots of us do spend a lot of money on having our cars the way we want them but as you know we do it because we love and enjoy it. If people are trying to do this for financial gain then your doing the wrong hobby lol
If I was not interested in cars im sure I would find something else to spend all my cash on that’s for sure…
I know all my guitars would have been Gibson costing 3/4 k each if I was not into cars and that’s not including the rest of the equipment lol
Unfortunately there are ass holes around which can cause problems… If those idiots done that to my car I think I would be in jail for murder lol We just have to pick our selves up and carry on
With any modification to cars there are chances of having problems but that part and parcel of modifying
Sam’s car is stunning and Sam’s had some rotten luck with her engine BUT it will get there Sam ! lol
Thankyou I have certainly been enjoying any dry days we get lately in her and she has impressed/scared a few people! I don't have full boost yet, we are doing it gradually and running a while just to be extra careful.
Although no-one has told Sachi that.. She thinks she has three speeds: Stop, 60 and infinity!
