Gord Just remembered another one Adrian's (turbo) well for years and years anyone that did any tuning to there is200, with s/c or turbo, it was thought of that .6 was the very limit with standard engine, anyone that went over this was living on very thin ice, so to say, now one or two did go over the .6 boost and yes the engine would pop, normal thing was rod through the side of the engine, in Chris's case it was just bolt on tte charger, he was just doing 70mph down the M1 and then bang, rod through the side of the engine.
Hope this helps you to understand why some people are a wee bit put off with buying a engine running 300+bhp with standard engine ?
And for your ref Stevie got 2nd hand 1g-gte engine for £200 with no milage known, runs well with new rings and bearings fitted fitted into his own 60k+ engine

Gord Thanks.......... but yes i know i'm right :p now who did what to who's car ? re your last post, Chris car was standard tte set up, Adrian's car (turbo) was running E-manage ecu when rod went bang(on his way to jae) and at the time did not have the HKS F-CON ECU fitted, the only one that went band (F-CON fitted) rod out of engine from my list above was Cho's car now he had the HKS F-CON fitted at the time, but again i know for a fact Ike has never seen this car. At the time Mr Ellen was trying to get hold of Cho, so Ike could have a wee look, but Cho took the car somewhere else.
