Thanks for the offer mate, but you hold onto those Smile

I've been doing a lot of research recently and it would seem that copper is the way to go for someone like me. Irdiums are great if you have a perfect tune and aren't running race gas/octane booster/meth, but otherwise just roll with copper.

TBH the plugs i've got in the car at the mo would be fine if I just cleaned them up a bit, but if i'm taking them out. I might as well put new ones in lol.

I think your plugs will be ok, you have removed thm at the wrong time, you should always do a plug chop after it has run at high speed, never after driving slowly around your estate and into and out of your garage maybe a couple of times.
If I removed my plugs after a cold start or a short journey they would look the wrong shade of good.

I kinda hope you're wrong mate, otherwise the mis-fires, trouble starting and lumpy idle I've been getting could be something more costly Confused

ohh I did not realise you had misfire/poor start probs,
Does sound like your plugs are too cold then.
Copper plugs are far superior for heat transfer and being tolerant to different temps, iridium are great for longlife and only really operate with-in a certain heat range.

ohh the joys of modding an engine for more power, that is the biggest reason I have never done serious engine mods as you can never get the car to run 100% everyday with lifting your bonnet and spending more cash to try and rectify said issues, nearly every person that has upgraded for more power has aggro after. Thats just my opinion and I guess people will reply and say "rubbish".

Cool cool. Well here's to hoping that's all it is. It started directly after I put £25 of Tesco 99Ron fuel in the car. Probably just coincidence as I've watered it down with £50 of Vpower now and its still not running right.

At least copper plugs are a fairly inexpensive thing to change for fault finding.

Jim, Tesco millenium 99ron is a ****** good fuel, I use it all the time and defo works in the TS, I dont think that was your problem mate.

Tesco 99ron at £1.34 per litre, good price when you can pay the same for 95ron at other stations

OK cool, won't feel so bad about using it in future. I'd been going out of my way to fill up with V-Power since installing the S/C. Maybe I filled it with Diesel lol :p

I'll be picking up some new sparkies tonight and installing them so will report back with how it goes. Keeping fingers crossed as the car needs to be working for our trip to Center Parcs on Friday!
