Sorry I haven't been on here and updated anything about my car. I have been soo busy with the car and had the stress of problems and money for it all! It’s been tough but finally have the time to share the update.
Firstly while at Santapod Japshow finale last year I had an Oil pump failure and so took it to FC Tuning and they advised me to go forged as the engine was out. So I thought why not and so I also went for a BorgWarner turbo while they were doing the work.
I was looking forward to the power! The Car IS capable of doing 500bhp but I am looking for 450bhp at the wheels.
I got the car back but it wasn't running right - It wasn't idling and sometimes not starting but I was running it in so knew the car would be going back.
While on the way to Japfest I had issues with one of the pistons breaking. So I went back and then had forged pistons put in and Spitfire coil packs.
Car was then put on the rolling roads to be tuned 4 times down to isses!! Costing me over £600!
It had a boost pipe blow off and ended up going through 4 set of spark plugs!
I ended up having to have the AA come and collect my car from the tuners as there was nothing else they could do to the car. The garage had said that because THEY took the engine out THEY must have disturbed the wiring but yet still it somehow wasn’t their problem as they did the mechanical work not the wiring. So they quoted me for a new ECU with new wiring costing over £1500. Which I could not afford and thought was taking the **** after the amount of money I had put into it, they were then charging me to fix the problem instead of sorting out THEIR problem as they were telling me it was MY problem!
I was feeling like giving up on the car for the year due to money issues as they wanted more money to fix the problems.
I had the car back at mine in the garage and was talking with a few people and so wanted to try out a few things myself.
Car was still not running right due to crappy jubilee clips coming off so I replaced with bigger clips and the grounding wasn’t right so I had to run wire straight from the battery to the engine.
This seems to have sorted the problem for now.
The issue I have now is I asked for Nismo 550 injectors and have got given Motorsports 550’s which I have never heard of or seen in purple. Still costing £100 each??
The garage that I have been talking to does not trust them so they are being flow tested….So that has been my nearly a year of problems with my car! stand by for update.
Gutted for you mate, there is too many cowboys out there, a little bit of knowledge and money and suddenly they are a pro tuner.
Hope you get it sorted, get any questions up on the forum we will try to help!
