Very good points made about Apple being marketing experts. They will be good at persuading a lot of people to junk their perfectly good old iPhones just to get the new features that they don't really need at a very high price !

Apple just bring something out which is almost identical, contains some newer software which you could upgrade an older one with anyway, and just a very few extra hardware features. Fair play to them for being able to get away with it though !

Cheapest tarrif for a free iphone is still £40 a month, tried getting it cheaper for the misses and they werent having any of it, £35 a month was a £60 charge for phone and so on. That was only on the 3G!!!! 3GS started at £45 a month with a free phone
