Mr2 gts
Mr2 gts
Yea they do look good. However we have to do the wheels as the winter has ruined the laquer, thinking about painting the deep dish the same as the body colour??
I went to the Towcester Coachworks - they were fairly confident it would look good. However if there is anyone with the skills to photoshop the body colout onto the wheels please feel free to have a go!!
I did:p well the car needs some TLC after winter, so may as well get it booked in for when I am on holiday in a couple of weeks. If the planes are flying that is................
Went to Dartford yesterday and picked up a new boot lid and spoiler for the Mr2 yesterday, the current one has bubbles in the paint, caused by water ingress from under the spoiler.
Great price for the parts FREE, my favourite price. So next week the car is in for spraying the wheels and spoiler/boot lid (if necessary). The bolts holding the spoiler down are rusted so badly they don't want to come out, I am sure the body shop will be able to remove the old spoiler but if not there is a spare boot lid to work on.
Toying with getting the spoiler blended into the boot lid so it matches the rest of the car also - will let the body shop decide if they are man enough to take on that part of the job.
Went to see the progress of the car today, the wheels are stripped and the winter paint damage is removed. We have decided to go for a re-spray of the car from the T-bar back, and both sills, this will remove the odd paint defect in the original finish and correct a couple of colour miss matches. Oh the joy of Liquid Yellow paint.
Towcester, they seam far better to me - and the prices are better at Towcester!!.
OK its back this morning we collected the car after a 1/2 car respray. The original paint had many flaws and colour miss matches we decided a re-spray, also the wheels are now colour coded to the car - looks far better in the flesh you can't see the pearl effect on the photo.....
