it has both. i just push mine in and not bother with the screws. but there is a plastic lock you can lift up and screw it in. but there are all the same fitting wise. i used an 2001 model to make my gauge pod and that fitted great

i was when you can find them, but have got a altezza one to kill as the base for my custom drift gauges.for that money i can buy the complete set and make up my own gauge as thats what i planned to do. also looked at just buying the parts for this and build up one foe myself if the parts are still avabile....
