Thing is, i'm not really on a power hunt. No matter how much the engine is nearly at its limit for N/A tuning, its still running on a mass produced map. With the incressed breathing by the filter and exhaust and the cleaner burning from the plugs. I think there must be some room for movement. I'm going to give it a shot anyway.
The bloke I spoke to is very experienced in setting engine up, and thinks he can get good results. Worth a shot for a forth of the price of a supercharger.

I'm sure I've seen someone on here saying the IS ECU can't be remapped? Think it was Stav, and he said you have to get a piggyback ecu rather than a remap?

I could be wrong though... Sure someone will correct me if I am Smile

I can get a new one fitted and mapped for £500.
Which I think is a good deal, considering it'll be warrentied.

Yeah, that's the sort of gains I was hoping for. For the cash really, 10-15bhp, is quite good value.
I'll obviously keep you all posted when I have to cash to get it done.
I can imagine you'd get more on a IS300 Phil?
