Anyone got any experience ordering stuff from Nengun Performance in Japan ? Good/bad/indifferent ?

Anyone got a discount code that works for them ? They used to be a trader on LOC but seemed to disappear pretty quickly.

Were you just trying to order one of their regular items Rabster, or were you asking them to get hold of something special ?

I did email Nengun and whilst it took a few days for them to reply, they were very helpful (e.g. pointed out politely I'd misunderstood something about an item). I also asked them about club discount etc and they told me they don't do club discounts but they do have a loyalty scheme, which basically means that the more you spend with them, the more "points" you get to help give you money off your next order with them.

Think that might have been me

I did look a while back and some things were horrendously expensive. I don't know what it is (can't remember what items I checked before) but the prices looked ok for some things this time. Perhaps it's because exchange rates with the Yen have got a bit better (just like with the US dollar) than they have been ?

Not saying they are spectacularly cheap either, but some of their prices were, for example, comparable with eBay US prices. Of course there's shipping, but if you get a few things that doesn't seem to work out too bad.

To close the loop on this, I ended up getting quite a few of the components for my turbo project via Nengun. Their service was very good, I had to wait a while for some of the items but that wasn't Nengun's fault, e.g. Power Enterprise injectors have a fairly long lead time from the manufacturer. I would certainly use them again.

As I said above, their prices are based on current exchange rates, so they change on a daily basis. At a time when exchange rates vs the Yen are good, then their prices will probably seem good.

Nice to know Steve, I keep getting right to the end of the checkout process and then thinking better of it... that might just push me over the edge Big Grin Their postage isn't too bad for small things either (ie a TRD bush set was only £30 or so) it's when you get into ARBs and stuff it gets understandably high!
