Yes mate, think you have convinced me! The reason I have left it, is because I think if a job worth doing, is worth doing right.
Will get some ordered, and fitted. Need to get the Geo done on my car anyway.

Other things I have got planned are.............
Altezza Grille coming this week,
Carbon Di-Noc covering the centre console, can't decide on black or white though.
Smooth front bumper number plate hole and get square number plate.
Also going to spray my wheels, as they are quite badly scuffed. Trying to decide what colour, Black, Purple, Light Blue or Orange! LOL!
I want to do something with the stereo too, missing having my ipod connected to the stereo.

James S And second been spending the last week trying to figure out how this works, but nearly there.
Apexi Neo AFC, looking forward to having a play with this, seeing what can be done. And possibly having it mapped professionally if I fail to figured it out!

When I looked into these, quite some time ago, I was advised against it.

What is basically does is modify the signal from sensors to the ECU. I was told that as the ECU learns and adapts itself, it will counter the effects of the Neo and so you need to keep resetting your ECU to get the most from this device.

I may be wrong on this, as I am only repeating what I was told years ago by "someone on a forum" who spoke as if they thought they knew what they were talking about! But I am interested, if anybody is a real pro with these things and knows?

Confusedad: It was a tough call to make, but the Supercharged IS200 is being retired. Confusedad:

i'm no pro mate, but don't think the ECU will be have enough adjustment in it to compensate for the AFC. Perhaps you might have to re-adjust the AFC unit, after a few hundred miles.
This has since been sold though mate. Put moneys towards other more needed items. Smile

Ah right. Well I don't know the limits of it's adjustment, but it made sense to me that as the ECU learns to adjust it's way around things, it might adjust around the settings the Neo unit set and return you to standard! I have decided I don't want one anyway, and if you're not running it either, it doesn't really matter!

I too am on my 2nd IS200, having damaged my first beyond repair. Not actually picked it up yet, but I will be in a week or two, so watch out for a project thread as I have big plans!

thread resurrection!

Its been a while since I have posted anything in here. Due to work and other money draining problems, I haven't been able to spend anything on the Is recently. Things have been so tight I have struggled to keep it on the road, and been close to selling up on a few occasions.

But the old crate has kept on going, although it has picked up some ailments recently. But the silver lining is I have just had the news today that I start a new job in a couple of weeks, and along with free ice cream, I will be getting paid enough to start repairing and modding the car again! Wohoo!

So although I have a big list, and getting married next year will take priority, the project is back on!

Need to fix the ailments first,
Poorly rear shock,
Only half the heaters blowing warm air,
Brakes and rear tyres need attention,
Leaking windscreen.

Then back onto the hunt for a crome altezza grille and a decent set of coilovers. Also want to get some decent, but not over the top audio/visual too. After that, I want to go faster, so supercharger/turbo or engine swap.
