Burglary Help
Burglary Help
Just been burgled, really f***ing angry right now........
Came into the house around 10am and hear people coming down the stairs, they run out the back and back round the front, then legged it down the street to their car.
Should have jumped in mine and chased after them but wasn't thinking straight.
Anyway, can I ask a favour, can you stick this reg up on any forums to see if we can track this car down? It's not reported stolen but could be false plates I suppose but still worth having a go.
Blue BMW 3 series, MSport kit, reg:
YB07AKG
If anyone's on any BMW forums, be grateful for any help - thought the first port of call would be to track down the address the car is registered to and visit them but the police didn't seem too interested in pursuing that line of action.
HOLY sh*t mate that sucks. Did they manage to get away with anything?
On askmid the car is listed as insured and it comes back as a "BMW 320 D M SPORT (163)". So the plates are definitely real, though I suppose they could be cloned from another same spec car - or the car may have JUST been stolen.
I'd post the reg on Pistonheads as the guys on there are generally quite vigilant.
That's terrible! Absolutely gutted for you The police may already know it's stolen or unregistered for insurance etc .. they won't tell you too much so soon
Hope someone catches the rats and you and yours are ok
bast@rds! sorry to hear this mate, hope they get caught quickly,
Thanks, good idea, not joined pistonheads but I'll do that and put it up on there too.
It is most likely a cloned car I'd imagine, but I'm really hoping they're morons and used their own car (had just parked it a few doors down from ours which I didn't think was the brightest move either)
Thankfully despite there being three of them there was no confrontation and they just ran off so no one's hurt, and from stopping them in there tracks we may not have lost as much as we might have but we've still lost a lot of stuff, mostly jewellery and watches (including my brand new IWC that I haven't even worn once yet :crying
Fingers crossed when the police pull their fingers out, they'll have the crime scene people round to pick up some finger prints which will make it nice and easy to charge them if they pick them up based on the car reg plate.
Glad there wasn't any confrontation though, as everything but you can be replaced via insurance!
Have you checked to make sure you've got all sets of car keys and any other bits like driving licenses/passports? Don't want anything coming back to bite you in the ass at a later date.
Post the reg everywhere you can - get it up on facebook as well and get people you know in your area warned and so on...
So sorry to hear this mate I have had this happen to my wife and myself and you just can not explaine how your privicy been invaded.
All I can say is check through every thing before you fill in your insurance forms.
We missed so many items off as we did not notice some items until we went for them.
The guys that broke into our place took a bag within a bag out plus our pillow cases to store stuff in.
They also put all my wife and my Watch into a jiffy bags and sent them to their selves, so they would not get caught with these item should they get caught and searched.
How is your wife coping?
Going up on rx8 owners and missBanzai mate
Hopefully somebody can help
Sorry to hear about it tho mate. Just glad to hear they ran off.
Yep have checked all the keys, passports, etc they haven't taken anything. I had even left one of my credit cards on my desk and they didn't touch it (but going to cancel it anyway just in case)
Thanks LB, I don't have a wife () but my mum was with me is a bit shaken up, more so that they were in the house when we walked in - yep the annoying part now will be searching through everything to figure out what's missing.
Thanks Chris, much appreciated
