they hang 2-3 lower than the standard braces because of the thickness.

They do hang down, but they are really strong metal and I would rather they scrap then the bottom of the car, so you could say they actually do a good job of protecting the underneath of the car.
How do the TRD ones compare Stav?

I used to have these on my IS200; I personally LOVED them and they really transformed the front end of the car. The steering was more direct and the turn-in much better.
They do hang down, but they are really strong metal and I would rather they scrap then the bottom of the car, so you could say they actually do a good job of protecting the underneath of the car.
