05-07-2019, 07:14 PM #2most people use mintex discs and pads, fairly cheep off ebay and seem to get good rep. i have brembo 3g slotted discs but they are kind of expensive and theyve been on the car 2 years with no problems to the disc, and in that time gone through a set of red stuff pads mainly from where the caliper used to stick so they have taken some heat and beatings and survived.

I'm not sure what I have on mine (only owned it a month) but will find out. They are vented/grooved/drilled ones though, and look virtually brand new to me.
EDIT: I am running MTEC disks and MINTEX pads, and they are only a few months old.

I have a nasty noises coming from the rear disks, but think have identified it as a common problem, see THIS THREAD for details.
