Project 'Koshin' - Mazda Eunos 1.6i
about time for a update on this i guess, before the updates stop for a while and i start pimping myself out as a alloy/stainless part ***** again. lol
thought it was about time i got a pic up of the flocked dash, i think it looks great and it really goes well with the steering wheel.
also a few weeks back i also got the rear tow i sprayed up red and fitted to the car, looks so much better i think and is about a third of the weight of the stock 2 that where originally on the car.
Then came time for me to finally change my front indicator/side light units for my custom made dark/detangod versions. The car came with a spare set of these light units so thought it would be worth a go to modify them. Put them in the oven, took them apart, cleaned them up, detangoed, sprayed black and resealed them and they look so much better now and really go with the car
the old ones, unit on the left has even started getting some moisture build up on the inside.......
original......
one changed.....
and the new darker/detangoed version..........
and with them both in......
looks so much better now and while i was at it i even put some blue tinted side light bulbs in them, they ain't very bright but look cool at night
Well i guess thats going to be it for the updates for a while i guess, going to just keep cleaning the car as much as possible and maybe clean up a few more parts here and there. I did give it a quick polish the other day and i must say the paint work come up very well.........
does have some slight swirl marks all over the car but hopefully get someone to look at it with a proper polisher at some point soon
I have a few long term plans for the car but these won't be sorted until i have a house i guess?!?!? Might change the wheels soon, but thats only because the wheels are literally going to cost me nothing. As i can sell my current wheels for the price of the new ones and swap the tyres over
Further down the line im going to look at throttle bodies found out that the gsxr 1000 throttle bodies are an almost perfect fit for the mx5 manifold. They are so close its unreal!!!! here is a picture of them next to a standard cut up mx5 manifold.....
Its so close that it just makes sense, thinking of maybe having them angled upwards with short trumpets on and then have some longer trunpets and a spare bonnet with cutouts so that the trumpets come through the bonnet and are on show, for show use etc lol Anyway, thats going to be a long way off. I do have a spare inlet manifold so im going to cut it up and get some specs for the throttle bodies and see how close it really is
Jason
BBR have reintroduced the turbo kit but its stupid money.
Thottle bodies will be cheaper, already have inlet manifold to chop, £150 for thottle bodies, £200 for management and the rest i can sort myself, well mostly........
Here you go Jason, just thought i'd post the pic's i said i would here mate, hope it looks ok to you?
Still got to give it a final buff off and just tidy the black enamel coating up a little? :thumbup1:
Just hope you don't mind the gloss black coating it is nice and shiny black :whistling:
Rabster ooh i like that mate you are talented
