I need to check the dimensions again but I m sure it's either a 1200 or 1600.
Being honest here I don't really understand the displacement figures all I know is that it's not running past the 13000rpm max.
Hmm. Can you tell me the pulley dimensions as well and I'll have a proper look tomorrow.
Yeah there's places with us. Just look in the jae thread.
Just having a quick think. If it's a 1600 you need it spinning at at least 9000rpm at full rpm to make any sort of boost.
If the charger displaces 1.6l per rev. But the engine sucks 2.0l per rev. Then you need the charger to spin at 1.25 times the engine to match the engines consumption. So it needs to spin even bigger ratio to produce boost.
If its a 1200 you need even bigger ratio and you'll end up with very little boost at the charger max rpm.
Hope that makes sense.
micromarc I ll pop them up tomorrow I know the bottom is 130mm dia as is the standard tte pulley I ll check the top one again

Can you hear the charger whining?
I've heard of occassions where all the pulley bolts break, so the pulley is spinning fine and looks okay from the outside. But it's not actually driving the rotors?
its not the tte charger he has fitted its another one so he wont have problems with the bolts snapping......
mate come along to jae we are having a charger fitting party we could also have a look at yours and see if we can fix it.... me and dave will be sitting around 80-90 all the way so your 85 bhp at the wheels will be fine...lol come on you know you want too....
lol...get your name down for jae and food mate.....
