I've done a quick search, all I can find is something about evo 9 seats and welding, or getting hold of some stupidly rare TRD seats and rails.

Basically, I want to get rid of the heavy ******* heated front seats in my IS200 and replace them with some lighter recaro seats. Anyone know the best way to do this? I don't mind buying some knackered old seats, as I'm getting the whole interior reupholstered anyway.

Any help would be good, I lack the facilities to weld myself but if anyone has done this in the midlands area I'd be very interested. I'm not after race buckets, I need something that will still be comfortable enough for a long drive.

Mate the only way I found was to buy the bride frames.
I did think about buying the drivers and copying it for the passenger but then a passenger cane along for a good price.

Though must be honest not seen any since.

You could get a spare set of seats from a 's' model or altezza that aren't motorised. Then modify the frames to fit your recaroes?

Might have to try that then, I'll keep my eye out for a spare set.

I've found some Civic type R seats with frames, but no covers on that should fit the bill. Any idea how hard it would be to mod the altezza seat frames to fit these?

Actually sod EP2 seats, I've just remembered how ridiculously uncomfortable they are to sit in. Anyone know how much the tezza seats weigh compared to IS200 sport electroc seats?

or Almost finished has evo 9 buckets in his, cut off original fixings off standard seat and welded them onto the 9 rails just the tabs that get the bolt through them iirc.

I was going to suggest what Stav did. Get Altezza or IS200 S cloth seats. They will be lighter anyway, with no airbag/heating/motors etc. so either run with them, or butcher them for the mounting to go on another seat of your choice.

If any members have the cloth seats, I expect they may be up for a swap for your heated and electric leather/suede ones too!

Confusedad: It was a tough call to make, but the Supercharged IS200 is being retired. Confusedad:
