12-08-2019, 02:42 PM #11I've got 8000k CCFL ones in mine which turned out ok. £30 from ebay. I think the SMD ones look a shite sight better though, I will be getting a set eventually. The only thing I don't like is that they aren't complete circles on the outer ring, the CCFL's have a much smaller gap at the top.
Now should be a good time too given the poor dollar. I just hope they get through customs ok!

That said, from the talks I had with 3 different companies over in the states, he seemed the most switched on and helpful. I'm just waiting for them to arrive, should be here soon I hope and I will post pix. :-)

I've bought from someone who's been in touch with admin on here wanting to sponsor the forum but apparently has had little reciprocation back. He did say that someone from admin had also bought some so I'm reluctant to name him unless someone says it's ok to.
That said, from the talks I had with 3 different companies over in the states, he seemed the most switched on and helpful. I'm just waiting for them to arrive, should be here soon I hope and I will post pix. :-)

I want to get the chrome card inside the light re-fabricated in gloss carbon fibre and then add some SMD rings to it. Should look pimping.
Whilst talking to them though, the voltage for the smd's seemed to be a big issue so I'd be sure to get them right. I'm sure 291 ohms(?) was mentioned somewhere!
