Had a little trip over to Guildford earlier today to pick up a couple of new body parts for my IS200.

The bumper is a Genuine Legana, in need of a bit of TLC as it's been fitted to a drift car for a while, covered in stone chips as you'd expect. Needs plastic welding in a couple of places and I need to reconstruct one of the mounting holes. But for the amount I paid for it I'm more than happy to spend a while repairing it.

The skirts however just need a respray and can go straight on once I've got some of the arch spacers, and made a couple of rear mounting clips like Ormi made.

I've already started sanding down the bumper in the pics, hence why the paint looks all misty. (I do have the mesh aswell but I took it out before starting the sanding)

And a couple of pictures of the skirts just wedged on to check fitment...

Only thing I'm unsure about is the colour scheme...these bumpers look particularly good when they have the bumper sprayed to match the car, but then the centre bar sprayed black. Now as my car is black anway I'll loose the contrast, so should I just leave it black? And maybe get an Altezza sticker like this to add some colour to it? Or maybe even get it done in a sort of dark grey/gunmetal colour? Or I was thinking maybe carbon wrap it? So many choices!?

And seeing as the bumper will need a respray anyway, and while I'm fixing the rest of it. I'm going to chop out the middle section of the number plate holder so it looks like this...

I wouldn't put on an altezza sticker with a lexus badge myself tbh.

Carbon wrap on the centre piece sounds all right though..

IS200 Sport - Sold
Mazda 6 MPS - Zoom Zoom!

Modifications
Completed:

Currently 280bhp/295lbft; 3" Meercat custom exhaust; KW Suspension; FMIC; SSP; HPFP; Custom Stainless Steel Dials - for the moment, the only set in the world!! (Till the group buy for MPSOC anyway  )

In Progress:

E-Tuning remap ongoing via Cobb Accessport; Braided brake lines; Stubby aerial; Tinted repeaters and sidelights; 3 Port Boost Control Solenoid; 3" HTP Intake

I hadn't noticed the Lexus badge on the picture above, but your right though, couldn't have the two together. I might get super creative and design a sticker myself in a similar font that says 'Lexus' on it, just to be different.

Get rid of the number plat holder and get it smoothed over, spray the centre bar black and mount the plate to the side IMHO

I've been considering getting a personal number plate actually, just something with as few characters as possible so I could get a small one like you and Ormi and have the option of moving it :thumbup1:

Only thing is, I'm quite capable of minor plastic welding and body filling. But I don't know if I could successfully fill an area that big and have it match all the curves of the existing bodywork (I'm trying to do as much as possible myself)

Carbon wrap would look good IMO but as you have time to have a play I wouldn't rule anything out

That was my original plan, like this... (picture is of Robin H's Tezza)
