Might be worth you asking people selling on Autotrader if they'd be up for a semi-swap with a little bit of cash? Anyone thinking of selling their IS is more likely to sell a manual than an auto so they might be welcoming of the swap?

Don't bother trying to PX with dealers tho as they'll make you a stupid offer.

Good idea to ask for a swap, but if nobody is up for it, then best to just sell it and buy another.

Just another idea to throw out there, but does the government offer any kind of relief towards adapting cars for use by those with disabilities?

There might be something that would go towards a transmission swap or car swap?
