I thought I'd hit a dead end on the lights...until I found these 'Ring Automotive Driving Lamps' (concentrated beam same as full beam on the headlights) which I thought would be far more useful than actual foglights
I just wanted something to fill the gap in the vent, although mounting them is still a pain. lol

why not just make a spacer to fit between your mounting and the mountings the light came with...ie a few washers

And I'll make my own version of the stainless steel bit that came with the light so it hangs down further to centralise it vertically more.

Rolex i fitted those lights on my Legena Bumper. I have the rings wired into my headlights and had the headlamps on auto.
I'm still undecided about what combination to use with the relays etc. My plan so far is this...
DRLs on with ignition > DRLs off when sidelights on > LED Halos on when sidelights on
(Dipped beam on, nothing changes)
Main beam on > Driving lamps on
I'll take the power feed for the driving lamps from the now unused foglight wires, and just leave the foglight switch on all the time (I'll have to take the bulb out of the dash though)
Which will also cleverly mean if I flash someone when all the lights are off, the driving lights won't come on aswell, otherwise I'll be flashing 6 lights at once!

I thought about that but I need to drop it down about 20mm to centre it, and I'm worried it would be a bit wobbly hanging off 20mm of washers. Plus I need to remake the brackets anyway to move the light back so its recessed further into the vent cutout (it's nearly level with the front of the bumper at the moment!) Now I've done the drawing for the brackets it will only take a minute to make my adjustments anyway

- I've bought a skinning kit containing 1000x300mm of carbon cloth which will be getting applied to the bumper this weekend, not saying where yet though. Although it's probably obvious.
- I'm also thinking of doing something clever with mounting holes and filling for the number plate, but not sure how easy it will be yet. Depends whether I can find a suitable filler that isn't too heavy.

If I could do it again however, I wouldn't have bothered going for the pre-preg cloth, as it kept trying to unstick itself on the inside edges because it didn't like being folded back on itself.
Here's a few pictures I took along the way.
First job was to removed the lip along the back edge of the centre bar, I used VERY course sandpaper for this as the final finish wasn't important at this stage...

Going to go back into work tomorrow to make sure it hasen't destroyed itself over night, and give it a quick sand and a 2nd coat of resin before I polish it up.
