Engine Revs hunting on Idle
Engine Revs hunting on Idle
Evening all,
the car has done this since i bought it, ive cleaned the TB and reset the ECU and it continued to hunt on idle.
it sits at around 900rpm for a while and then the revs drop a little bit and the lights dim (if on) and the revs almost immediatley pick up and then it idles at 1000rpm for a while before returning to 900.
A video is below (Ignore the warning light its because i used the wiring from the parcel shelf light for the boot spoiler and i havnt bothered to sort it)
my question is: Is this normal idle behavior for a warm 1G-FE or is there a problem?

just try it mate, turn the aircon off and it shouldnt happen then.
the ecu does attempt to compensate but it cant be perfect
