I'd just given it to a paint shop to tidy a few bits up.

The first thing that had to change was the registration plates. I also had the standard wheels powder coated matt black and bought myself a shiny new sport grille.

Next on the list was a new set of rear lights. I also tinted the rear fog lights to match.

I finally got fed up with not having any music in the car as the standard stereo had the dreaded Err 3.
I'd always fancied a car pc and now that I had a car that I loved I figured I'd have a go at it.
First up was the touch screen. I bought myself a double din fascia, a 7" touchscreen and a dremmel.
I cut the screen surround down so that it fitted nicely in the fascia and glued it in place.

Next I glued the screen buttons into the lower part of the fascia.

I then filled all the gaps with leftover pieces of plastic, covered the whole thing in filler, then sanded, primed and painted.
After I re-fitted all the electrics this is what I was left with

I don't seem to have any photos of the Installation of the PC...

I had a clear acrylic cover made for the pc, although it's not been fitted properly yet...

Right, I've been on this forum a while now so it's about time I started my own project thread...
Most of this was done a while ago and I don't have many photos so I won't go into too much detail.

This is near enough how I got my car:

Next the headlights were split and repainted. I decided to tint the indicator lens rather than remove it.
Test to see how good it looks.

Finished Lights. Front fog lights had been removed for painting. Side repeaters were tinted as well.

At this point I joined the forum
This is how the car looked after a good wash.

Time for a new exhaust... A 5Zigen fireball exhaust came up on ebay. A bargain at only £92

I had now decided I wanted to improve the handling of the tezzy so bought some HSD coilovers from another forum member.
They were a bit dirty when I got them so they needed to be cleaned up

I had the springs powder coated as the paint was flaking off of them.

Fuse box covers painted purple

HKS Exhaust manifold! Another great find on ebay.
I polished it up a bit before it was fitted.

I eventually got round to painting the rear calipers and centre caps. Made the car look much better.

Bought myself some TRD gauges though they still aren't fitted.

I think that is pretty much how the car stands at the moment. I have bought some new wheels that I'm about to get shot blasted and resprayed for summer.
The wheels are Racing Hart C4's in 18" x 8.5" which had just been "professionally refurbished" though the paint wasn't very smooth and there were loads of blemishes etc.
That didn't really bother me though as I was planning on respraying them anyway. I have done a little experiment on the wheels to see how they would come out.
I left the matt black paint that was on the wheels and shot a coat of purple pearl mixed with clear lacquer.

First the wheel was masked up with pink gaffa tape. Looks awesome!

Then the paint.

They came out exactly as I wanted. Depending on the light they flip between black and purple nicely.
