Well! I decided to swap the wheels off my MR2 over to the lex. Originally
Just because the tyres are shot on the lex wheels.
I wasn't too sure what it would look like with white wheels. But. I quite like it. I know it def a marmite thing.

How difficult was it to do the refurb? And how much primer, paint and top coat is needed? I really want to get mine done, but worried about doing it myself.

I rubbed the wheels down. Filled the curbing with metal repair from halfrauds. And lightly sanded again
I used about two 500ml cans of primer and three/four cans of halfrauds wheel white. (500 ml.)
I did one wheel per day.
Prep and masking took the longest.
Easy enough as there isn't much of a Pattern to the wheel design.
I will lacquer when I do them again. White is a pita to keep clean and the paint discolours over time.
I was like you. I didn't want to mess them up. Decided to bite the bullet and just do them. Glad I did. And won't have any worries next time.

I quite like how it looks in the 2nd batch of pictures, white, grey and yellow go well together.

Definitely needs lowering though. :Shooting:
