Lexuspat I'm gonna leave my induction kit on until I've built the kit, posty is up at RSCS so may try and get a sneaky look at his cradle

I would have liked to leave it on, but I would have to take it off every time I wanted to test fit the cradle or measure something so I decided it needed to go.

Plus I can put the funds towards buying an actual charger to build the cradle around.

That's a good point, what size pipe are you gonna use and is it mild steel your using

I'll probably make it out of aluminium if I can, as it will save a lot of weight and it will be much easier to work with. Plus our aluminium cut-off saw at work gives a much better finish than our band saw would on steel.

Not decided on size yet, I'll probably make it out of the same diameter material as the mounting posts on the charger, if that makes sense?

You still worried about the cradle, check what I made for stav, then ask me again if I can make what you need

I know you can make what I need Pete :thumbup:

So stop wasting time and make me and sprinter a cradle so we can finally charge our IS :lol:

I've seen the work you did for stav and its great, ill speak to you more about it or you could make one and bring it to RSCS that would be better :thumbup:

I don't doubt that you are capable of making it, but wouldn't you need a cradle and/or charger to build it from?

That's the bit we're struggling on, as we have nothing but pictures to work from.

I know I said I wasn't going to spend any money on this until I'd got the cradle sorted, but I couldn't resist this as they don't come up for sale very often...
