DaveEdin I have a couple more wee things to add but they won't be done till after the weekend so I'm not saying what till I can post pictures...

Ormi knows, but hopefully he won't spill

Right - the couple of things to add were... some Likwidart.

I had the Sport badges from the group buy to fit, but I had also been in contact with Rob at Likwidart regarding getting some custom badges made up - I wanted to replace the rear badges on the car with ones in metallic blue, just for that touch of "different". So I had him make me up a set to replace my standard badges.

First the standard sport badge from the rear quarter (dunno how well you can see it - but it's just a vinyl sticker on the inside anyway)

This was replaced with the black version from the group buy:

Then it was onto the rear badges. This is what I had Rob make me:
[Image: 2012-03-02_13-55-44_447.jpg][Image: 2012-03-02_13-55-52_614.jpg]

The back of the car before (as standard):

Partway through, just the main badge left to go:

Annnnd that's them all done:

Wee closeup on the L badge:

And no - I never had any plans to use the "horns" on the L - but they are very useful for lining up the badge and making sure it's straight and not squint... The badges are very cool - you can see the blue change colour in the light a bit depending on the angle you're looking from.

Since these were custom made for me (well the two that aren't an L with horns anyway), I'm currently the only person who has them. Works for me, although I believe that Rob would be open to a group buy if enough people wanted them.

IS200 Sport - Sold
Mazda 6 MPS - Zoom Zoom!

Modifications
Completed:

Currently 280bhp/295lbft; 3" Meercat custom exhaust; KW Suspension; FMIC; SSP; HPFP; Custom Stainless Steel Dials - for the moment, the only set in the world!! (Till the group buy for MPSOC anyway  )

In Progress:

E-Tuning remap ongoing via Cobb Accessport; Braided brake lines; Stubby aerial; Tinted repeaters and sidelights; 3 Port Boost Control Solenoid; 3" HTP Intake

I like them a lot mate!

I fitted my sport ones a couple of days ago, it's actually quite easy when you get the hang of it isn't it.

Pics don't really do them justice in a bit of sunlight guys - and yeah Stav, easy as pie to fit once you get your head round it.

I took a slightly different approach to the "usual" way though. Usually you use a couple of bits to mark out an L shape into which the graphic then fits. That was fine for the Sport badges but for the rear ones it wasn't going to work. I needed a bit more space around the badges that were being replaced in order to make sure I cleaned all the sticky stuff off properly, but didn't lose the locations for the badges themselves.

So I simply made up a "box" of masking tape around the badges, with nice long verticals, and peeled the box up (leaving the top of the vertical bits of tape attached to the car) so that I could remove the badge and clean underneath. Once that was done, I brought the box back down to frame the correct location for the replacement badge... Simples

Been a while since I updated this - mostly cos I've done nowt really! I have now finished working at Sky - though I can still get the cheap codes etc if anyone wants/needs one - the current deal ongoing runs till 22nd June and has an option for an existing customer as well as a new one... Anyway, enough of that!

I'm now working in Northampton, so I'm doing rather a lot more miles a month - nearly 3k all in, so the car got up to its 100k service interval a little quicker than I'd have liked! It only had 62k when I got it in March 2010 - oops.

I booked it in for its service on Monday past with Ormi's work as per usual - so it got its service with a couple notes... One being that the two front tyres were shot to heck and needed replaced due to inner tyre wear. I knew the car needed a full geo setup a while back but never got round to sorting it. Also one of the ball joints had some play in it. The tyres were fairly bad as you can see:

Thankfully, the new WIM place is just up the road from where I am now working, so I called them this morning after a slightly worrying 350 mile drive in the rain, and got the car in with them. They sorted the two tyres, the full geo and the ball joint in a couple of hours this afternoon:

Got to say the new place is great, and the guys working there were happy to chat away a bit with my mate and me - full marks to WIM! Car definitely feels tighter on the road (even more than when I last put new rubber on the wheels, so it's not just the tyres, you can feel the difference with the right geo setup) and I'm all smiles...

There are a couple other things noted on the service report - apparently I have a slight leak from the radiator and a couple of brake pipes are corroding, so possibly a bit more maintenance to come in the near future...

I think I would need GEO done as well, any decent place can be recommended in EDI, Dave, Ormi, your suggestions? Or I'll go to Maybury Garage, who's doing all the work for me.

I reckon the place to go to in Edinburgh is CLCM at Sighthill (that's where Ormi goes) - but get the WIM settings first and make sure that you get it set to those as the OEM setup from Lexus is the problem...

A fantastic thread dave, judging from the choices you made and the goodies you installed i can honestly say you have the same tastes as me, so don't, be surprised if you see some similarities in my project thread, in fact i'm going the full "OEM++" rooute, meaning my car is going to look pretty much "OEM" untill that is, you start looking under the skin so to speak. I can't wait to start my project, just need my missus to find a job :p
