Heard too many horror stories about buying second hand engines on eBay
much rather have the peace of mind knowing that I rebuilt it myself an I know it's a decent engine. Thanks for pointing it out though

He is better of building it his way as the black top and siliver top engines shared weaknesses and strengths n their designs. Combining the two will create a very capable engine.
I have seen these engine generating 240 BHP at 11,000RPM.

Depends on what your application is.
My FC20 in my S2000 is 240 BHP at 9000 rpm and the rev range suits the wheel base and suspension set of of the car.
A long legged RPM build up can sometimes be better then straight forwrad grunt. But as I stated its all about the application.
