Fitted @160mm pulley with the 5pk855 belt but above 5k its slipping badly it wont tighten anymore. Help much appercited

Interesting to find out which could be the correct belt size. I have purchased the 5PK583, but not tried it yet.

I tried a 580 but it wouldnt fit over the pulleys

Yes, I know that is why I got 583 size just in case the 585 is big and slips

I,m surprised that the s/c does not have a belt tensioner fitted?

It doesn't mate on the cradle.

Does or doesn't? There seems a lot of talk about this size belt that size belt, an adjustable cradle or somthing would eliminate all of this, no?

I think that may have been Stav's AutoCorrect jumping in there, the TTE cradle does have a tensioner on it.

sorry yes, it DOES have a tensioner on the cradle, but its travel isnt huge and tightening it can be difficult hence the need for a good sized belt.
