Hate it

Sports grilles are the way forward and never understood why they weren't fitted as standard as I see it

They make such a difference to the front end

Coming on well mate

Thanks, also i understand what you mean about making it look more evil, the front end does lack that aggresive look when the standard IS bumper is used but if i may be honest i have never been a big fan of eyebrows, my plan is to black out these headlights, and hopefully get the TRD Leganza bumper to add a bit more aggresion to the front look, failing that i will get a set of blacked out after market headlights with projector lenses and DRL in them, something like these:

As for the horns, they are still where i found them one either side of the bonnet latch directly behind the grill, I always assumed thats the OEM position so just left 'em there.

The horns can be moved behind the crash bar there's threaded holes already.

Is this to make space for the intercooler? I figered untill i have to fit an intercooler i would leave everything in place for now, unless there is a different reason...:confused1:

you may need to take the crashbar off if you get a huge big cooler like myself or stav, but if your going for a tte sized one the crash bar will be able to be kept in place, most people move the horns to behind the crashbar so it doesnt look like bug eyes staring at you from behind the grille. and those projetors will do a better job than the brows good choice, Smile

Aaaah I see I don't think i'll be going too big as far as intercoolers go the cooler i'm looking for is not huge like you are stav, but rather slightly taller then the TTE one it'll just fill the front air dam of the front bumper because i know the TTE one is only about half that gap if memory serves correctly its hard for me to explain without pictures or measurments but if i find one i'll post it up.

As for the lights, I agree they are very nice and should pull off a more agressive look while still keeping a certain level of "executive-ness" that Lexus is meant to have.

So it finally came to pass that i was able to blackout my headlights, i used the how to on hear to split them and the rest went a little something like this...

First i scored the chrom plastic bezel with some 600Grit wet & dry sandpaper like so

Then cleaned them up a bit...

I used these products on the left some plastic primer in white and on the left "very" high temperature paint in black...

I first laid down a nice layer of plastic primer...

Then went over it with the hih temp black...

This is the end result, not really clear but you get the idea...

What do you guys think?
