McLevin's Levin
McLevin's Levin
I'd been thinking about getting a new front strut brace to replace the stock one for a while and when a friend on Facebook became a UK Whiteline distributor it seemed like the perfect time to upgrade.
Out with the old.
And in with the new!
I went with the optional quick release clamps as i'm always messing about in the bay. That and they look good.
If any of you are after anything from Whiteline, SuperPro, BC Coilovers or UltraRacing i can not recommend GT-4 Play on Facebook enough. Cheaper than you'll find online anywhere else and a top bloke to deal with.
So to bring this thread bang up to date i dropped the car off this morning to get the new wings and lip painted, front bumper tidied up and resprayed and all fitted back on in time for Japfest.
Can't wait to get it back, no more off colour, misshapen, rust/filler filled wing. Front end will be looking fresh in time for Japfest.
Apologies again for the huge update, i've just spent the last few hours writing up the build log and updating it on various forums. I'll be at Japfest on Saturday on the JPOC Stand. I missed the ticket deadline on here >.<. I will be in the Gate C area with you guys though so will pop over and say hi at some point during the day.
Nice!
Picked up a decat from a friend on the owners club last week.
Very well made and fit perfectly.
Not the prettiest job. I have to swap it out for my MOT in a month so will do a better job after that.
I was worried it was going to make the car Kakimoto Red Label loud again, but it didn't make it much louder at all. It did change the note of the exhaust though. Car now sounds a lot throatier and pops more.
These arrived last week all the way from Australia. A set of 50mm Trumpets from SQ Engineering.
Honestly the build quality is second to none. If you are thinking about getting trumpets these guys are the guys to buy from. After seeing some of the ebay ones on a friends car, they do not even come close to these. Well worth the price tag in my opinion.
They were really easy too fit and everything lined up perfectly. They look amazing too, seems a shame to hide them inside the plenum. I did run them open for a bit just so i could hear the noise they make, while it sounds godly you can definitely feel the car getting bogged down. WHen running them in the stock plenum I get noticeable gains in the mid range to the point where the VVT kick doesn't feel as harsh anymore.
