No joy sourcing a 1G GTE one yet (although yet to try my local Toyota dealer come think of it).
What's really concerning me is this - how does an IS200 drive with one on?
I've read people saying everything from "you don't notice a difference" to "it ruins a car as a daily driver" and I suspect it's going to depend on the weight of the flywheel.
I'm looking at a 6.4kg TTV one.
It's a nice and smooth engine, but I don't want to render the car annoying to drive.
Will that mean I have to rev match every upshift? Will it make it annoying to start on a hill (live in wales, so lots of hills!)?

31-08-2022, 06:54 AM #16We found out the other day the flywheel fits but the is200 cover plate doesn't. It's smaller than the 1ggte one. It's not a problem you can redrill the fly accept the cover plate no problem.

Aware that's a bit of a "How long is a piece of string" question but curious to know.
Not planning any other engine mods yet. Guy at work is trying to convince me I need to drop a 1JZ-GTE in there but convincing wife would be harder.
