Lexus IS200 engine light& trc light come on dash

Auto x reg , trying to find out why my engine management light and trc light come on. Trc light flashes car runs a little lump under load takes the battery lead and efi fuses out to re set the ecu. Put new plugs in still runs lump but light have gone out only because i disconnected the battery once driving again engine and trc light came back on? Wonder if anyone has had the same problerm in the past regards kay
