How angry....
How angry....
sounds like a happy ending phil.
hope the cost isnt too much
1st estimate is £200. But until he has seen the car he can't say.
Result.
The Mrs picked up the car this morning and it is a real good job.
The finance company picked up the car this afternoon, and started to quibble about a very slight rip in the roof - it was there when we bought the car.
So on to the dealer we got it from and luckily they have a record of the car and its faults and this includes the roof damage, and a scuffed bumper that we repaired at our cost. So in fact we can prove the fact that we improved the condition of the car.
Oh well lets see if they try to charge us for "repairs" that aren't our fault.
This is the drawback with voluntary terminating a finance agreement, they try to claw back every penny by inventing "damage" because they know they won't get much for the car at an auction.
Indecently the chap that did the repair also does re-trims, re-roofing and I believe interior smart repairs in leather and cloth, so if anyone needs something like this please send me a PM and I will send you his number.
Glad it all has ended well for you Phil  bit of a nightmare. Fingers crossed the finance company don't give you any grief!!
good work mate, glad its sorted
