I've seen a RX on the police fleet, but never a IS300.

Could have been used to ferry the super around/undercover car- doubt it has been a panda car- they normally use Astra's for them?

I've read mix opinions on ex-plod cars, some say they are well looked after and have uprated suspension/brakes etc, but some say that ex-plod cars have been thrashed and maintained on the cheap?
Anyone got any views on this?

Probably depends on their exact role in the police, they could have been used for all sorts of different things (e.g. motorway pursuit cars will be upgraded).

Won't necessarily have upgrades, but I think they are very well maintained - usually by their own mechanics.
