Strange gearbox problem
Strange gearbox problem
Just managed to pop out of work to pick my car up after having it's clutch changed, and noticed that the gear stick isn't in the same place as before(it feels like it's moved over to the left).when I engage reverse it catches the handbrake,I'm taking it back tomorrow but just want to know what has caused this

theyve put it back in wrong,
it should lean towards the drivers side

I know that :o just wanted to know what would have caused it,is it something to do with the linkages

its just the way you fit the gearstick back into the gear box, needs the four bolts undoing and spinning round

So it's a job I could do myself? I don't really have the time to Take it back to the garage this week cos were so busy with the lead up to Xmas
