This time of year, with very cold weather, is usually a real killer for batteries that are failing. Some of us might have found this out already, but if your battery is seeming a bit dodgy at the moment (e.g. slow turning over when starting the car in the morning), then get it replaced, it's likely to just get worse rather than better, and could leave you stranded !

IS200 Turbo project now just about complete ! See my thread here and leave your comments.
Now running standalone Syvecs ECU and no stock ECU !

Mine's fine when starting, but was doing something really weird today, I had the fan on full pointing at the windscreen to clear the ice, and when I stopped in traffic the fan would slow, and then when I pressed the accelerator it would kick back up again to full speed.

Battery problem, or just a normal measure the car does to preserve the battery?

normal, when engine rpm drops to idle, alternator rpm drops so does the voltage to battery, 14v approx then drops to 12.8ish
hope you understand wot i'm saying

My battery is fine. I thought I may need to replace battery to due to a recent ICE upgrade, but the car is starting first time at the moment, so all good.

I had to change the battery in the GF Golf as soon as the cold weather started as it really did not like the cold. The Golf has been starting with no issues since the new battery went in.

Decided to take the MR2 today after a week of not moving she started on the 1st turn of the key, and negotiated the snowy road almost as well as the IS200 - that isn't saying much though because the IS as most people know is a tiny little bit tail happy:w00t:
