a friend of mine had his car seized by portugese authorities 5 years ago - it only had 30,000 miles on it on an 02 so he persisted and managed to reclaim the car recently -much to everyones surprise when it was picked up from the indoor storage place the battery still held charge and the car started first time - not bad -mind you it still cost £1500 to have it transported back to the uk

i think hes just chuffed to get it back tbh-plus their law is very odd over there and as he spent 18months in prison before the verdict came back not guilty i think hed be better off sueing for that-needless to say i offered to buy the car today but hes going to use it for a while-i should imagine it would need a few quid on hoses and belts etc as they always seem to go on cars that sit around for years
