parthiban I think there's some kind of crazy US conspiracy at the mo to bring down Toyota
Not just Toyota- if the Hati earthquake never happened (diverting media attention) I reckon Honda (Accura) and Infiniti would also have been in the firing line as well.
The Jap car co's are/have always been a threat to US carmarkers.

The guy who died due to his car (Prius mk3) accelerating all by its self, didn't press the "neutral" button that would have saved his life, but they didn't mention that tiny little fact.
