Lexusboy I have just ordered my new phone after having a 2g iphone since the launch day.
I did decide to come away from the iphone this time but not for any reason except a change.
Some times we need change or we end up very blinkered imo.
So i decided to give the new released HTC Desire a try.
I hope to receive this tomorrow.

parthiban What sort of deal did you get on it? I was speaking to Vodafone yesterday about upgrading to the desire, but they want more money than I wanted to pay from me but looking on the web it looks like it is demanding high prices.
They offered it to me for £100 on a 12 month contract @ £35/month.
I bought mine on at £149 + £20 month deal this included 200 min unltd text and unltd interenet from virgin mobile.
Virgin offer other deals with this phone.
You can get this phone free with minutes and text for £22 a month if you shop around but i hate those company you need to claim money back at certain time of the contract.

Cheers, hadn't thought of virgin mobile but looks like they're prices are the same as vodafone - I'm trying to stay on a 12 month contract so looks like the deal I've got might be the best I'm going to get (and actually got it wrong, it's actually £86 then £35/month). Plus I'm only 11 months into my current contract so wouldn't need to wait another month :thumbup:
XDA developers is a great site, but not something you'll really need right now - the Desire is on Android 2.1 with HTC sense so there isn't much you can add to it. The only option there is is to add the Nexus One's build which adds the voice functionality that the desire doesn't have but that's a bit buggy at the moment so wouldn't go for it just yet.
Other than that android apps are pretty much all free, just go to the market and download whatever you want :biggrin:

I bought my 3G 1 month before the 3GS was released, and i was gutted.
But i compared it to my mates 3GS and the differences where:
A slightly better camera
Video recording
A Compass
and that was it!!!!!
so i wonder if the 4G would have a flashlight included as well?

IF the 4G is real (which it probably isnt) it willprobably be just a bigger let down as the 3GS
