Reverend HighTower :w00t:i remember once i had no money to buy rear brake cylinder kits for my mini ,so i blocked them with nails,and landed driving it like that for a year:blink:
was lucky nothing happened:laugh:
Terry I was the same, had MK4 Cortina with leaking rear wheel cyls, I used a pair of mole grips on rear flex pipe to stop fluid leaking, but NO rear brakes, and sold it like that.

I remember when i used string out of the passenger window and the same out of the driver window this was attached to the wipers when it rained i pull the wipers up while my mate pulled them down through the passengers window:laugh:

We were coming back from camping in one of our Mini's, just came off the M5 onto the M6 and the dynamo gives up, all the lights faded out so i had my other half in the back seat with a torch covered by a red sock, and me holding a torch in the front :laugh: came off the M6 and the dynamo decided to kick in again, got some really funny looks that night :laugh: The joys of old motors ay :thumbup1:
