All,

Need your help a few of you saw my car at Japfest and like the style of my alloys but they are causing me a bit of hassle. When I bought them I thought nothing of the price as they were a really good deal, but when I went to thave them resprayed I found out why.

As you can see from the picture they are a 2 piece lookalike wheel and what I thought were metal rivets in the wheel have turned out to be plastic, it didn`t help finding this out the week of Japfest as the car was having the wheels prepped for the respray.

The guys at the garage said that there are people about who sell these plastic rivets but can`t seem to find anyone who does.

If anyone can help I`d very greatfull as the wheels are letting the rest of the car down a litttle bit and driving me  lol.

Cheers
Dave

Would have thought the best people to ask is a company that refurbs wheels....try someone like pristine wheels, sure they will point you in the right direction

Dave are these glued on rivets ?

I guess if these are glued on you could remove these and contact the supplier of the wheels for replacements before refurbing the wheels.

What the refurb place said is that they have to warm them up and they pop out but they disform so that they cannot be used again. I`ve sent an e-mail to the guy that I bought them from as well as pristine just waiting on response to see what they say.

Just want to explore as many possibilites as I can so I can get them sorted.

I had the same issue with my TTE Chicane wheels. But on those the plastic "bolts" aren't stuck in very firmly, so I took them all out and cleaned them up, then stuck them back in again. Sounds like it's more tricky for you though.

Have you tried searching on eBay ?

IS200 Turbo project now just about complete ! See my thread here and leave your comments.
Now running standalone Syvecs ECU and no stock ECU !

yeah tried putting a search on ebay but nothing seems to be popping up only plastic trim rviets for plastic panels and undertrays. May have a go and see if I can pop them out myself. If I can I`ll just take the wheels to the refurber with them out and put them back in after they have finished or get them to put them back in.
