i have a HKS water Temp sensor that i want to fit tot he car before i go to the alps so the question is how do i do it lol
is it on the top water hose pipe with a joiner piece fitted with a thread or is there a better way....

My old Lex had 2 sensors both though on the top hose - I.e. measuring the temp before the 'stat opens.

14-06-2018, 03:17 PM #3I thought it was best to tap into the thermostat housing - although I have no idea where that is on the IS200!! may not be easy or possible........

tbh the best place to use is what the rally/racing cars do tap in to the block but for a normal road car top hose will do fine....

The same size as the radiator hole matey I'll try and find out tomorrow.

15-06-2018, 05:56 AM #10i'm not sure mate, i ended up ordering a couple as i wasnt sure, remember the wall of the pipe will be quite thick so the bore may well be a fair bit smaller than the overall diameter.
