As Terry say the weather will go up.

Checking the web site yes you do now pay for under ground parking at the hotel.
This used to be free.

We have options to either pay or park near my brother apartment block this is a five minute walk from the hotel.

what traveling time are you looking at. mine is 15 hours. bridge and boat or boat and boat.

If my memory serve me right i think its 12 -13 hours door to door.

We arrive in France around 4.15am French time

Just remember to be careful around the basel area as lots of cameras there and they are not the big yellow ones like UK, they are small A4 size and matt dark green. The border points use ANPR so could pull you on your return trip. if you are doing about 130 then its alright.
