Jamie's really is something else isnt it Smile

Goal for mine is to have something looking fantastic and in the best condition i can make it. Nicely done without ridiculous bodykits, not a huge amount more power than it has now (although easily said) but also reliable. I'm not hugely into track racing or drag racing, just like to enjoy the car Smile

Few things gone on with the car last couple of weeks. The biggest being i ran into a boost problem where i couldnt get over about 0.8 bar. Lots of investigation work and it was found that the blades of the turbo would spin fine one way but the way they should spin they were very solid. This sadly was found during the week leading up to our supra club day at Santapod Sad

I decided to send the turbo off to be refurbished and therefore took the girlfriends M3 to the pod for some fun Smile Sadly this wasnt to be either, as it completely ****** it down on Saturday. The drifting was great to watch but sadly no drag racing was allowed, they were busy trying to dry the track all day and finally got somewhere around 2 o'clock ish, when thunder came from the clouds and the heavens literally opened up. Was a real shame.

But, to finish the w'end off on a good note, a turbo came up for sale that had never even been fitted at a very very good price, so i flew to Camibridge last night to collect this Smile

Its a Precision 6262 with billet wheel. They are a fairly new turbo design and have been producing some great results. The supposedly spool up quicker than the T61 style i previously had but produce more power than a T67. Should be fun Smile

Will be fitted any day and then need to wait for the guy i use for mapping to return from some work he is doing abroad at the end of this month. Sadly i doubt i will see much increase in power as i will still be on the autobox and therefore limited to around 500 bhp, but will gain spool (not that it was laggy before!) and know its another new part fitted to the car which i should get some great life out of.

I will let you know what results get produced from my current setup as it will be done on the same rolling road and mapper. Be interesting to compare the graphs.

looks good mate, I'm planning a Billet T67 from ETS as it suits the power range i'm after, but if you get good results with this i may have to look into these.

keep me updated with results Big Grin, I think I stumbled on the meeting point Saturday just off the roundabout on the A45 near Mac D's?

looks gorgeous mate!

Have you just got the standard autobox?
a lad i work with (Paul Mac) has the boostlogic box, does that let you have a lot more BHP/torque?

Cheers mate Smile

Yep, standard autobox. I know paul from the forum, has a lovely supra. The boostlogic boxes are uprated to handle quite a bit more power, they are what alot of the full on american drag supra's use, if they dont want to use the TH400. Even with these though there have been lots of stories of them letting go and can be a bit hit and miss.

Personally i wouldnt bother with the expense of them, i'd rather spend a bit more and go manual and never worry about putting whatever power you want through it. The v160/161 are just bullet proof Smile
