is200 crank pulley
is200 crank pulley
fitted my new tte bumper the other day and thought i wud do the cam belt while i was at it all was going ok till i tried to undo the crank pulley 3 hours later and tried all i knew and still no joy i know there is a tool for holding the pulley but has anyone got any ideas other than heating it up to crack this off :confused1:
Either an Airgun/12v torque gun or breaker bar onto the floor then turn the engine over.
There is a tool that can be made as ell that goes into the 2 holes to hold it still.
have tried all above and locking flywheel thru starter hole rad and cond off to get my airgun in and is the most powerful snap on make wudnt shift it and having it in first with foot hard on brakes that just made the clutch slip:o
will have to heat it i think just worried bout damageing the crank seal but think it been loctited in and gunned up and will have to warm it to melt the loctite have had it happen on transits before and broke tools trying to undo them then heat it up and just twists straight of was just seeing if anyone had a clever way of doing it lol
I know you hadn't sorted this at Jae mate, but I remembered something I'd seen on mkiiisupra.
You can buy a proper tool like this off eBay;

Or you can make one:
Hope that helps.
Mine is in a similar state, broken 2 breaker bars so far. Of to Halfords for rep;acements lucky they are guaranteed for life lol.
will try and make one at the wekend and give it a go thankx for the help
Did mine yesterday, borrowed a 1" socket and breaker bar, a length of scaffold bar and off it came - the 1" drive is the key as it transfers a lot more torque to the bolt.
