Took my car for its MOT this morning and after a quick test they said I need a new alternator - does anyone know roughly how much this might cost if I took it to Lexus and also at a decent indie?

Rabster you can get an alternator reworked (as good as new) for about £80
Oh that sounds good, do you have any details on where to do it?
Want to do a few tests myself but their equipment was only showing 12V when the engine was running with everything on.
