Hi all

After a lot of thought recently i am going to embark on a track project. I have decided i am going to use the 1uzfe engine but cannot decide on which shell to put itin. I think i have narrowed it down to either a supra or an IS but thought i would get some opinions from people who know what they are talking about lol
I want something that once finished will handle well on track but could also be drifted with a simple set up change and will be able to handle 400+ hp

Also up for any other shell suggestions :-)

The IS would be a better option IMHO.
It would avoid the Purple Witch burning you for removing a 2JZ engine from a Supra and the IS200/300 chassis takes extra power really well.

IS shell definitely. If you want something simple and strong that you can abuse a non vvti 1uz will do, once you've got more money you can bolt a supercharger on it and push it to 400hp on standard internals. Edit: This will also be cheaper than a vvti 1uz and you should be able to wire it with fewer headaches.

IS chassis is going to handle much better.

Time and funds mean that rx7 is out of the question unfortunately i did start doing on last year but hit too many issue which is a shame as i love the rx7. Want something that i can complete by next year without too many headaches. IS is top of my list as i wanted to do it before. Wiring wont be an issue as a track car most of it will get stripped out anyway so i will just rewire the bits i wanna keep

Ross - that rolling shell that Danny (Ramplin) is selling might be worth having a look at. If it's fairly complete on the wiring side of things, it could be a very cheap transplant recipient.
